Accessibility statement

Seafarerops is committed to making its website and application usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced motion settings. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA.
Current status
This website is designed and tested against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Measures in place include semantic HTML structure with a logical heading order, a skip link to main content, visible keyboard focus indicators, colour contrast checked against AA thresholds for text and interface components, text that reflows and remains legible at 200 per cent zoom, form labels associated with their controls, alternative text on meaningful images, and respect for the operating system reduced motion preference.
Colour and state
Sync state in the product is shown with colour, a written label and a position, so that information is never carried by colour alone. We apply the same rule on this website.
The maritime context
Our software is used on vessel bridges and in manning offices, often on older hardware, small screens and poor connections. That context pushes us towards larger touch targets, high contrast, legible type at distance and interfaces that do not depend on animation or fast interaction. Accessibility work and vessel usability work tend to point the same direction.
Known limitations
- Some downloadable documents produced before this statement may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.
- Third party embedded content, where used, may not fully meet our standard. We raise issues with the provider and look for alternatives.
- Areas of the application released recently may not yet have completed a full audit cycle.
Assessment approach
We use a combination of automated checking during development, manual keyboard and screen reader testing, and review against the WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria. Accessibility defects are logged and prioritised alongside other defects rather than in a separate backlog.
Feedback and reporting a barrier
If you encounter a barrier, tell us what you were trying to do, the page or screen, and the assistive technology and browser you were using. Write to info@seafarerops.com. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and to agree a remedy or a workaround with you. If you are not satisfied with our response, say so and we will escalate it internally.
Enforcement and review
This statement is reviewed at least annually and whenever a significant release changes the interface.
