How we engage, and how it is priced
Four stages, each with an exit you can judge before committing to the next. Nobody signs a fleet-wide rollout on the strength of a demo.
Start with a complimentary assessment and discovery session
Before any commercial conversation, we run a working session against your actual fleet, flag mix and manning model. The purpose is to establish where you are today and what the ideal roadmap looks like, in your terms rather than ours.
It is free of charge. If the honest answer is that you do not need software yet, or that one module would solve ninety per cent of the pain and the rest can wait, that is what the session will say.
What the session produces
- A map of where crew, wage, document and report data currently breaks
- The handoffs that cost you the most rework each month
- Which module earns its place first, and the reasoning
- A staged roadmap with a proof of concept scoped to one area
- An indicative cost envelope before you commit anything
The four stages
Each stage has a defined output and a decision point. You can stop at the end of any one of them.
-
Discovery and assessment
A structured review of your manning desk, vessel workflow, document set, CBA and flag mix. We walk the current process with the people who run it, not only with the people who sponsor it. Complimentary, and delivered as a written roadmap rather than a slide.
Output: current state map, prioritised gap list, staged roadmap, indicative cost envelope.
-
Proof of concept
Deployment to a smaller user base and one business area only, typically a single vessel or a single manning desk. Real data, real users, a defined success measure agreed in advance. The point is to test the fit against your CBA and your document set, including an offline stretch, before scope grows.
Output: working module in one area, measured against the agreed criteria, with a go or no-go decision.
-
Full scale deployment and implementation
Configuration to your flag mix, CBA, document templates and shore-to-ship workflow. Data migration from the spreadsheets and systems currently holding the record. Vessel rollout in sequence rather than all at once. Training for the shore desk, the Master and the crew, with the crew-change problem planned for rather than discovered.
Output: production deployment across the agreed fleet and modules, with a documented cutover.
-
Operationalisation and maintenance
Steady state. Release management with code-signed updates to shore and vessel, exception support, periodic review of usage and process fit, and roadmap input as your trades or principals change. Adoption is treated as an ongoing measure rather than a launch event.
Output: supported production service, release cadence, and a review rhythm with named owners.
A customised engagement model is available. Where a fleet is mid-migration, where a principal mandates a particular sequence, or where only one narrow area is in scope, we build the engagement around that instead of forcing the four stages. Say what your constraint is and we will shape it.
Pricing
Two components, so the one-off work and the ongoing service are not blended into a number nobody can interrogate.
Fixed cost
Assessment and deployment. A one-off fee covering the assessment work that follows the complimentary discovery session, configuration to your flag mix, CBA and document set, data migration, integration work agreed in scope, and training for shore and vessel.
Scoped and quoted after discovery, so the number reflects your actual document set and workflow rather than an average.
Variable cost
Ongoing, and it follows two things:
- The number of users on the system, across shore, vessel and principal
- The number of crew members being managed
Both are figures you already know and can forecast, which means the cost moves with the size of the operation rather than with a licence tier that does not describe you.
Customised commercial models. Where neither shape fits, for example a manning agency billing several principals, a seasonal fleet, or a pilot restricted to one trade, we will build an engagement and commercial model around your needs. Bring the constraint to the discovery session.
Questions we are asked about engagement
Is the assessment really free?
Yes. The discovery and assessment session carries no charge and no obligation. You leave with a map of where the record currently breaks and a staged roadmap, whether or not you go further with us.
Do we have to buy the whole suite?
No. Each line ships as a working base and clients take only the features they need. Cost follows that choice rather than a bundle you will not open.
What does the proof of concept cover?
One business area and a smaller user base, usually a single vessel or a single manning desk. It is scoped so success and failure are both visible inside a short window.
How is pricing structured?
A fixed cost covers assessment and deployment. A variable cost then follows the number of users and the number of crew members being managed. Where neither shape fits, we build a customised commercial model.
Can you work alongside our existing systems?
Yes. Most deployments sit next to an incumbent finance or ship management system rather than replacing it. Integration scope is agreed during assessment.
Start with a complimentary assessment
A working session against your fleet, flag mix and manning model. We map where you are today, where the record breaks, and what an honest roadmap looks like. No charge, and no obligation to go further.
